I’ve always been drawn to the things that invite exploration—water, travel, photography, technology, and the process of building something from an idea.

On the water

Some of my favorite days begin before sunrise and end with salt still drying on the boat. Spearfishing, boating, and time offshore have become a big part of how I spend my time and the stories I bring home.

Photography

Photography is how I slow those moments down. Sometimes it’s underwater, sometimes under a night sky, and sometimes it’s just something ordinary that deserves a second look.

Building things

I enjoy learning how things work and finding better ways to organize, preserve, and connect them. Compass Rose grew out of that curiosity—a long-term project combining this site, photography, self-hosting, documentation, and whatever comes next.

This site is where I keep some of the things worth remembering.
